These terms explain who operates xnorfootball, the standards governing our work, and how we handle use of the site and personal data.

Last updated 29 August 2026

1. Operator and scope

xnorfootball is an editorial publication owned and operated by XNOR STUDIOS AS, a Norwegian limited company with organisation number 938 007 896 (“XNOR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

These terms apply when you access or use xnorfootball and its content. By accessing the site, registering for member access, or subscribing to our dispatches, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the site.

2. Editorial independence and standards

xnorfootball follows Redaktørplakaten and Vær Varsom-plakaten.

These principles guide our editorial independence, integrity, treatment of sources, accuracy, corrections, and separation of editorial and commercial interests. Editorial decisions are made independently by the editorial team. Advertising, sponsorship, partnerships, or ownership interests do not give an outside party control over our journalism.

3. Applicable law

XNOR operates xnorfootball in accordance with applicable Norwegian law and with relevant European Union and European Economic Area rules that have been incorporated into, or otherwise apply under, Norwegian law. This includes applicable rules concerning media responsibility, copyright, marketing, electronic communications, consumer protection, and data protection.

4. Reader accounts and member access

To read certain stories or receive editorial dispatches, you may register for free member access by providing your email address and verifying it with a one-time security code (OTP).

You must provide a valid email address that you are authorized to use. Member access is personal and non-transferable. You may sign out of your session at any time, or request complete account and email deletion by contacting us at post@xnorfootball.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in abusive automated activity or violate these terms. If paid subscription tiers are introduced in the future, separate terms governing pricing, billing, and renewal will be clearly presented prior to subscription.

5. Privacy and personal data

XNOR STUDIOS AS is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with xnorfootball. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Norway’s Personal Data Act, and other applicable Norwegian and European data-protection rules.

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • your email address and authentication session data when you sign in or subscribe for member access;
  • technical and security verification information (such as IP address, timestamps, and bot-prevention data through Cloudflare Turnstile) required to deliver and secure the site;
  • information you provide when contacting us, submitting a story tip, or requesting a correction; and
  • consent and preference information if optional analytics or similar features are introduced.

We process this information only where we have a lawful basis, including performing our agreement to provide member access, operating a secure editorial publication under legitimate interests, complying with legal obligations, or relying on your consent. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law.

We use trusted service providers for hosting, security, database storage (such as Cloudflare), and transactional email delivery (such as Resend). They process data strictly for agreed purposes subject to appropriate data-protection safeguards.

Subject to applicable law, you have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive your personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

6. Cookies and session storage

xnorfootball uses strictly necessary session storage and secure cookies (such as authentication tokens) solely to maintain your signed-in status and secure the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking trackers.

If optional analytics or additional technologies are introduced in the future, clear information and explicit consent mechanisms will be provided in compliance with the GDPR and Norway’s Electronic Communications Act.

6. Copyright and permitted use

Unless stated otherwise, original text, graphics, branding, design, and other material published by xnorfootball belong to XNOR STUDIOS AS and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Rights in third-party material remain with their respective owners.

You may read, link to, and share links to our work, and quote limited excerpts with clear attribution where permitted by law. You may not republish substantial parts of our content, remove attribution, sell or license our material, or use the site in a way that infringes our or another person’s rights without prior permission.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use xnorfootball to:

  • break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
  • interfere with the security or operation of the site;
  • attempt unauthorised access to systems or data;
  • distribute malicious code or conduct abusive automated activity; or
  • misrepresent an affiliation with xnorfootball or XNOR STUDIOS AS.

8. Tips, submissions, and sources

If you submit a tip, document, image, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it. Submission does not guarantee publication or create an employment, payment, or other contractual relationship.

We handle journalistic sources in accordance with applicable law and our editorial standards. Ordinary correspondence should not be assumed to be confidential unless confidentiality has been expressly agreed or follows from applicable source-protection obligations.

9. Accuracy, corrections, and no professional advice

We aim to publish accurate, fair, and well-sourced journalism. Reporting may be updated as facts develop, and we correct material errors in accordance with our editorial standards.

Content is provided for general information and editorial purposes. It is not legal, financial, medical, investment, or other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice suited to your circumstances.

10. External services and links

The site may link to third-party websites, platforms, or embedded services. We do not control their availability, content, security, or privacy practices. Their own terms and privacy notices apply.

11. Availability and liability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site. Although we take reasonable care, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will remain complete, current, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, XNOR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the site, our practices, or applicable law. The latest version will be published here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory rights or venue rules that apply to you.

Questions about these terms, privacy requests, corrections, and other formal notices may be sent to XNOR STUDIOS AS at post@xnorfootball.com.
